Mental Health Services
Guest speakers:
Topics around Mental Health have constantly been requested by delegates. In this particular afternoon, we covered the red flags in Depression and Anxiety, when certain SSRI are more appropriate, a better understanding of the Single Point of Access, IAPT, MHAT and MIND services.
As mental health has a great impact on a patient's ability to work, a representative from Fitness to Work engaged us in a lively discussion on how we can positively help and encourage our patients to take as little time off as possible, as work in the majority of cases helps with mood disorders, with increased depression in those not working.
