This whole afternoon session on various aspects of Men's Health; including Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms, LUTS Pathway, Prostatic Specific Antigen (PSA) interpretation, management of Prostate Cancer, and finally the long term follow up in Primary care of colorectal cancer and prostate cancer was conducted with at least a foot of snow outside. To see some GPs attend in their Wellington boots shows the dedication to learning of our Barnsley Primary Care colleagues.

0Mr.Suresh, Urologist from Sheffield kindly steeped in to deliver this extremely useful talk on how to investigate , mange and refer men with troublesome Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms in primary care and then when to refer to secondary care. It was quite al earning point in the audience, from the voting system, that not all delegates would have immediately considered referring a patient with LUTS and a palpable bladder to secondary care.
