Please be aware that Barnsley GP's are not able to refer directly to the Rheumatology service.
The Barnsley Hospital Rheumatology team provide a diagnosis and treatment service for all rheumatological conditions.
They serve the Barnsley population and also receive referrals from surrounding areas.
The Department has 3 rheumatology consultants, 1 Associate Specialist and 1 nurse practitioner. There is a also a dedicated advice line for follow up patients.
Consultant and Nurse Clinics are held Monday to Friday.

other referrals are presently sent to MSK from where they are triaged appropriately.
If there is a need to discuss a patient . please contact the rheumatology secretary on ext 2387 or ext 2421
