Barnsley Hospice runs an out-of-hours telephone advice service called PallCall. This is available for professionals in hospitals and the community who are looking after palliative care patients as well as patients and carers. The service is operated by a senior nurse on call every evening, weekend and Bank Holiday.
The service acknowledges that palliative care involves a multi-disciplinary team approach and aims to provide an enhanced level of care to the patient, through working in partnership with existing services. The number to ring is 01226 244 244.
