Provide specialist assessment and treatment for all patients with a diagnosed lymphoedema / chronic oedema related to a cancer diagnosis.
Be available to patients aged 18 and over and who are registered to a Barnsley CCG GP practice.
Deliver both clinic based and domiciliary interventions with the clinics being held at Apollo Court Medical Centre, 45 High Street, Dodworth, Barnsley, S75 3RF.
Patients that access the service will receive a comprehensive lymphoedema assessment and be prescribed specialist lymphoedema garments to minimise swelling, reduce secondary complications from the swelling, enhance quality of life and promote self-management. Patients assessed as having complex lymphoedema needs will be offered lymphoedema treatment such as automated and manual lymphatic drainage.
