Children's Speech and Language Therapy
Clients are referred to the service. This can be done by any professional with the consent of a person with parental responsibility or if the young person has capacity with their consent. Although a person with parental responsibility, or a young person with capacity may refer themselves, we prefer a professional referral so that any relevant medical, social or educational is provided in a timely way.
- Once targets are in place and those supporting are able to do the practice, we discharge the child
- Children may be referred again for further help
The service is managed by Janet Whiting and Deborah Newman, Clinical Managers/Professional Leads, Children's Speech and Language Therapy.
