SWYPFT Community Services Recovery Position As at 30.4.2021

Date: 07 May 2021

SWYPFT community services continue to progress further with plans for recovery.

The further expansion of community clinics in a number of services is progressing well:-

  • downtime (in line with IPC guidance) has reduced which will increase clinic capacity
  • all services continue to offer face to face provision

Services continue to be mindful of ongoing caveats regarding patient flow and waiting area usage within healthcare settings, as well as social distancing which is affecting group work activities eg services provided within an education setting, or reduced group capacity where hands on intervention is required such as children’s therapy.

In respect of other group based sessions; All elements of Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation are recovered (any waits are due to patient choice of specific venues), MSK Hydrotherapy sessions have recommenced at a reduced capacity, with further capacity to rise incrementally.

All our home visiting service elements remain unchanged and continue to see an increase in referrals as well as an increase in the level of need and acuity of patients
