January Pharmacy BEST had a presentation from Phil Ainsworth, from BMBC raising awareness about suicide prevention, together with updates on stock shortages, Changes to the Medicines management Scheme, Quality Payments Scheme and commissioning update from Tom Bisset.

November Pharmacy BEST had a guide to prescribing thickners for adults from Jackie Senior, Clinical Lead Speech and Language Therapist information on the Smoking Cessation Service from Simon Lister of Yorkshire Smokefree Barnsley. Tom Bisset provided an update on the National Clinical Audit, Quality Payments Scheme for 2018/19 and commissioning.

September Pharmacy BEST focused on Acute Kidney Injury (AKI) and changes to locally commissioned services. Dr Steve Lobaz, Consultant in Anaesthetics and Intensive Care Medicine Fluid and AKI Lead Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust nad Tom Bisset were the speaker for the event.
